Anti Him

Why do you bother?
You hate him more than you love him.
Why do you pretend to want to be here?
You would leave if it weren’t for the kids.
He use to be everything you wanted now he is everything you despise.
You wish you could wish him the best, But you wish him death. It’s a lie to be sealed with him. It’s a lie. A huge incomprehensible lie the love is gone. It just peaks out to play tag you’d rather die then have death do us part. He is not worthy of your soul or spirit.
He flounces like a dead fish his stench is revolting
Why do you stay?
Why do you subject yourself to this?
You will leave you will become stronger and more independent and you will leave without a notice without a tip to bring him the reality. It is injustice the way he bombards the kindness that rules this sanctuary
He is death
He is loathing
He is hate
He is not love or kindness, but reality
The reality that is not the same
That love doesn’t live here anymore

Religion and Proposition 8

Proposition 8 was passed on November 8, 2008 in California. The proposition would add a new amendment to the California Constitution which will classify marriage as only a union between man and woman. Proposition 8 has brought a great divide between Californian's and American's abroad. One church that has gained a lot publicity and hatred is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Friendships have been broken and people have left the church because the proposition.

Proposition 8 didn't just pop out of thin air. It has history starting in 2000 with proposition 22 to unequivocally define marriage between a man and woman in California. There were issues with the civil code that promoted changes in that year by legislation because prior to 1977 California's Civil Code was ambiguous about same sex marriage. Many cases including the mayor of San Francisco, Gavin Newsom granting same -sex marriages (that were later overturned) sparked the California Supreme Court to overturn proposition 22 in March 15, 2008.

Proposition 8 was being formed to give proposition 22 back bone before March 2008. The debate began... commercials for and against proposition 8 started taking their course. Many commercials for the proposition were focused on family and the unity of marriage, no gay bashing involved. On the other side those who opposed it used derogatory methods against the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints. Portraying self-arrogant missionaries stripping away the rights of a same sex married couple. Funding on both sides were extremely close 35 million for the proposition and 37 million against it.

It wasn't the amount that started the riots and protests, but who made the contributions. The religion foundations that have received the most undignified sentiments have been the Roman Catholic Church and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Many blame the church's affiliation as the reason for success of the proposition. There continue to be allegations of hatred, bigotry; discrimination as being the foundation of the proposition. Several communities compare it to the discrimination of interracial marriage. One can beg to differ. Let's face it the proposition 8 is majorly based on religious faith that is biblical. We live in a democracy that's what the county is built upon. Most would say they have no issues with whom another loves, if that were the case that would be the real discrimination.

So, many Californians' are being described as meaningless followers of religious leaders. When is it ok for Americans to be intimidated for using their fate and religious beliefs to exercise their democratic right? Would it have mattered if any church got involved? Who's to say that people wouldn't have relied only on their beliefs without any involvement of any religion. No one can disagree there are raging emotions of pain and uncertainty for those who want to have that union of marriage. Jim Key, a spokesman for the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center stated, "We're making a statement that no one's religious beliefs should be used to deny fundamental rights to others."

Likely Page Break
It's easy to say someone's beliefs shouldn't be brought to the ballot booth, because the outcome may affect someone's life. Isn't this America, aren't skinheads, KKK, and other racially motivated affiliations allowed to still rally and have they're websites, because of the first amendment. Many of these affiliations use religion has basis for they're beliefs. Pro life activist beliefs are mainly based on religion. No ones screaming leave religion out of that debate. If we are to eliminate religion motivations for voting or bringing up legal issues to satisfy one side, then we are to abolish what are forefathers have worked so hard for. People speak of tolerance in this issue for same sex couples, but there should be religious tolerance as well.

Logically, any association can put all their work and money into any proposition. However, it is the voter who decides once entering the booth. To say that 52% of Californian's were brainwashed into voting for proposition 8, as if to say that these American's were not in tuned to their own beliefs. Is a disgrace to each individual who voted for it. It was the California citizen who put the proposition into effect not funding from any church. The campaign against the proposition provided more funded for the cause, by a slight margin. Could it be that many American's believe that marriage and the spiritual meaning of it are only sanctified between male and female. In schools and at political events we pledge to the flag one nation under GOD. In conclusion, it is unconstitutional to demand that a personal belief in God be left out in some ones political personal view.

How to Keep Your Marriage Fresh

In the first year of marriage newlyweds can’t keep their hands off of each other. After many years of marriage many couples are fighting to get that fire back. Are you tired of newlyweds with their subtle bragging of how great things are? Do you have children and feel they’ve taken the life out of you? I have some tips that I believe can be useful to lighting that flame again. After 12 years of marriage my husband and I made a valid promise to always keep things the way they were from the first time we laid eyes on each other.

First tip make a vow to maintain that first year of marriage love, lust, emotion, and happiness. Of course with children it can be hard. I have four, but I make the time for my marriage.

If you do have children involve them. Dad’s have them sign or decorate a card you wish to give to your wife just to say you love her. Wives if you have small children have them walk on daddy’s back. Maybe’s he’s been complaining of that sore back and hinting for that massage, but you’re just busy.

Holding hands is a must. You use to cuddle where ever you went together. So why did you stop? Don’t fall under the pitfall of things just change.

Men pat your wives bottom, just a love tap, when you’re out and about. Show her she still has that best butt ever. Women dress up once in a while, get out of those frumpy clothes. Just because you’re a stay at home doesn’t mean you have to be in sweats all day. Pull your hair in a nice ponytail. Put on cute, but comfortable bottoms, and maybe just a little gloss.

Try to have date night. I know that can be virtually impossible. Make the time! How many times have you and your spouse found yourselves just sitting alone? Well pop in a movie or have a glass of wine and go over old times.

Last but not least. Please remember why you chose your spouse and do your best to keep true to that!

Perception

Perception is everything right. So why does it seem to be flawed in the most important times of our lives. We need to have insight or awareness of our surroundings to keep us safe. So many times people lose perception in what makes their relationship what it is. What is your perception of life? Is it praying to God, being involved in church, or just living day to day?

One must look inside them selves and gain an understanding of what it means to be perceived. Take an outside look of what your life is. How you perceive yourself may be conflicting with how you feel and others feel about you. You must gain knowledge of the truth of yourself and not what others believe you are. Then you only gain true perception of the world around you.

China's Spirit

Why do artists paint mythological figures? It shows up in art, literature, poetry, architecture, songs, and many aspects of life. I believe that most artists that paint mythological stories want to express it in their own vision what they interpret the myth to be. Some artists like to give the best portrayal of the character they are painting.

Chinese dragons of Chinese culture could make themselves as large as the universe or as small as a silkworm. They could also change color and disappear in a flash. They rise to the skies in the spring and plunge into the waters in the autumn. These mythical creatures were thought to be all powerful and all-knowing.

As the myth goes the first dragon appeared to the mythical emperor Fu-hsi, had filled the hole in the sky made by the monster Kung Kung. Its waking, sleeping, breathing determined day, night, season and weather. There are many differences and similarities between the Classical dragon and the Chinese dragon; these include the ability to fly even without wings, shape-shifting abilities, and of course the general benevolent behavior to the populace. The head of a camel, the eyes of a demon, the ears of a cow, the horns of a stag, the neck of a snake, it's belly a clam's, it's claws that of an eagle, while the soles of his feet are that of a tiger, and the scales that cover it's body are that of a carp. The Chinese dragon has four claws as standard, but the Imperial dragon has five, this is to identify it above the lesser classes. Anyone other than the emperor using the 5 claw motif was put to death.

The dragon was also a symbol of the emperor whose wisdom and divine power assured the well being of his subjects. Many legends draw connections between the dragon and the emperor. Some emperors claimed to have descended from the dragon also known as the nine children of the dragon.

The painting of Lung instills many of the mythical creature’s abilities. The faded wings show the dragons ability to fly even without its wings. The clouds and the darkness describe its power over the weather and day and night in accordance with the myth. It’s open mouth symbolizes that it is about to fight or is already engaged in a fight, even though you can not see an opponent in the painting. The fact that the dragon is so close to the ground is another reason why it looks to be engaged in battle. The reds used in the painting also symbolize rage and conflict. There are only four claws on each limb, this symbolizes that the dragon is not of royalty. Being that dragons can not see directly to the front, the way the head is turned toward the viewer of the painting may symbolize that it may be in rage with humanity ( the viewer). Over all the painting is a great portrayal of the dragon.

Nirvana

The Buddhist notion of impermanence suggests that reality is constantly changing, and we see that everyday but we don’t notice it until some time has passed. As with my children changing in appearance, personality, maturity, etc. Most of the time I do not see these changes until weeks later. These things are slowly and constantly changing so as they are not noticeable to the human eye until some time has past. The Buddhist notion of nirvana suggests an existence beyond limitation that liberates one form samaras, or decay and pain. Buddha is said to have reached nirvana at the time of his enlightenment. Once nirvana is reached, rebirth is finished. Nirvana is like reaching heaven in our standards. When you get to heaven you are reborn in a sense. Many would like to reach this level in life but never come even close.Ahisma refers to the idea that it is bad to hurt anyone. This is a belief that is not practiced very often in today’s world. Some may try harder than others but to someone that might have come from a place that Ahisma is common practice. That person would not believe their eyes.

Imprisoned no more

Imprisoned no more

Peaceful is a long way from here

And I don’t ask why

For it seems my life is diluted with loves and hurt

A passerby to kindness

I could cling on for life

To the edge that trembles

I fear the bars that enclose my soul

To break free is what I long for

But it is you that sets me free

That guides me with your touch

I suffer no more inequities

My eyes open and I see much clearer, much deeper,

As deep as the well runs is my love for you

I no longer fumble in despair

For you is my center
